This mala necklace is hand-knotted with all natural silk and made traditionally with 108 beads (excluding the guru bead). It is made with 8 mm grade AAA Red Agate and Onyx beads with 6mm AAA Montana Agate and Tourmaline beads. The guru bead  and the silky blue tassel is 2.0" long. This mala is about 20-21" long on each side as each strand of beads varies slightly in size.

Black Tourmaline is cooled magma from a volcanic explosion where borosilica acid shifts from a gas/liquid into a solid with the chemical composition of Na(Fe3)Al6(Si6O18)(BO3)3(OH)3(OH). Black Tourmaline symbolizes protection and grounding. 
 
Black Onyx is a form of chalcedony, which is a microcrystalline quartz formed in the gas cavities of lava with the chemical composition SiO2. Black Onyx symbolizes decisiveness, strength, and protection.
 
Montana Agate consists of silica, bits of iron oxide, black manganese oxide, and nodes of dark-colored Chalcedony. These inclusions can take the form of round globs, thin bands, or tree-like dendrites. Montana Agate symbolizes stability and grounded maturity. It has deeply rooted connections with Mother Earth and symbolizes the bond between the spirit and the physical.
